That's Shirley "Cha Cha" Muldowney. She raced this '64 before she moved on to a rail.

Dan I have read it is a 63 and also a 64. I do have a picture of her sitting on a 63 fender and you can see the 62 NY plate on the front (color the car though seems lighter and it is a Hot Rod picture). She seemed to reminisce that she raced the car in late 62 and 63. Here is another picture of her at Fonda where she was a regular.

The yellow car looks to be the Wes Auto parts car at a glance. 614d506320cf98b8f2fba89b839e7558.jpg

I think I have seen her with a number of cars. The dark car above @ Fonda Speedway has '64 to '67 A pillars. Definitely not '63. The B pillar "appears" to have '64-5 vents. The '63s were a little smaller and just indentations. Non functional. The '64-5s were functional on the left side. The rocker panel moulding is '65 only. Really hard to see but I will go out on a limb and say there might be a hint of '65-6 fender vents. So that one "MAY" be a '65. The lower lighter car definitely has a '63 only wheel disc. The grill seems to approximate 63-4 grill but looks too tall and may be missing the surround moldings. The hood indents don't really reveal if they have '63 cookie sheets. I suspect they don't. I'm not going to speculate on possible updates for class purposes over the years because I don't know.

Like I said I have read 63 and 64 so they may have raced both. The light car does not seem to be the same as the dark car. Here is the full picture of the light car and it appears to have the split, if I am seeing it correctly. I also seem to remember that she raced a red Corvette which throws another wrench in the works, if true. hrdp_0904_02_z-shirley_muldowney-1963_corvette.jpg

That A pillar is '63 coupe only. The rocker molding and wheel disc is '63 only.

@swade41, he got a great find on that one. It seems like quite a few cars that have been in long term storage have been changing hands lately. Do you know any more details or the name of it from when it raced?

Larry Mallicone at OCIR. That car still exists and has been in competition within the past few years. I think th at Larry's grandson may be driving it at this point.
