Anybody know what this light might be off of ? It's similar to a 54 Chevy but the housing is heavier and it is only one bulb. Googled it but nothing.
There is some lettering on the lens, what does it say? Are there any numbers cast on the housing? they'll usually give good clues to year and such. but someone will probably recognize it...
I think there was a thread here not to long ago where a member bought a fancy two-tone fleetside late 1950s Chevy pickup that had those taillights.
The Chevy Cameo trucks all had a built in reverse light so I don't think it's that. I'd also like to know what the lens says.
not likely...unless you have a specific year in mind? They usually had the back up light in there, also.
All right, here we go. Housing has 'ROTH" on the lower side, and "162518-R91" on the upper side. Both housings have the same numbers. Upper lens has this. Looks like the symbol for a binder, International Trucks. Never saw a Travelall with a light like this, but I have been known to be wrong! Lower lens has "NO. 710" on the left and "STIMSONITE" on the right. Heard that name before, but I can't place the context. Here is the housing compared to a stock 1954 Chevy. Slight differences in the thickness, weight and edge design.
Having worked in an IHC farm/truck dealership back in the 70's when I saw that part number it certainly brought back memories plus the IH on the lens, Some binder guy will need that part.
Stimsonite manufactured lenses. I’ve gone 3 different styles for our 1940 Chevrolet. Each one is glass.
