Im here at Pate Swap Meet. I s houldn't have but the price was right. It's a complete car but is totally disassembled. Can't wait to get it home! Not sure yet what I'm going to do with it but it's solid!
It supposedly has several spare parts. I've seen at least 2 transmissions. The banger was "running when parked" but I can't wait to get it delivered and inventoried.
Congrats! You apparently have more motivation than me. Looks like it will make a great car. Can’t go wrong with a Model A if the price was right.
The seller is delivering the car tomorrow. It should be fun unloading and taking inventory of everything. I could see the head and the block way down deep in the pile of parts, but didn't see a crankshaft. I did find the camshaft and timing gear. Lots of milk crates and coffee cans full of parts, pieces, and stuff.
I also picked up a couple other cool things at Pate today...the pinstriping art was priced right and im going to try to find a bluetooth speaker to go in the drive in speaker.
Those are cool too! I really need to get to that swap meet sometime. I grew up going to it when I was a kid back when it was still at the museum. Maybe I can plan to go next year...
I like it but I think I would go with bigger wheels and a longer wheelbase, sure make putting a motor in it a little easier .
I'll second that , even the fenders looked straight in the trailer. Usually full of fatigue cracks. Wonder if a light buff will bring the blue colour up again. I also noticed the blue hotrod headlights in the trailer. Cool project for sure.
It's got a couple of cancer spots but overall it is very solid. I've been going through all the milk crates and coffee cans. Found the pistons and main caps. It's hard to tell but the crankshaft looks pretty clean. Went by the machine shop I use and he was already gone for the day. I want to have the banger block checked out.
Damn!! You weren't kidding! That ol gurl is straight as hell! You got any pictures of the frame? Said it was boxed...
Lmao....I am so tired I didn't even get what you were saying....yeah that "chassis " isn't going to work too well!!
Everyone ribs me about my little cart. I made that thing out of an old riding mower that was worn out. It even steers!
You just need a mower deck under that and your ready to go......looks funny but I'm sure it helps moving it around... Congrats on the pile O Parts...
@RMONTY looks like a decent start, good luck with it. If you decide not to run fenders or end up with some extras keep me in mind
