Question for the guys with a Rochester 2G carburetor. Who is using the leather accelerator pump diaphragm?
Not me and I have three in a row. I’ll likely change to leather when the existing ones give up. Thus far I’ve covered 2,500 miles without a drop of ethanol though. John
If you run the leather pumps, my dad taught me to soak them in light oil to help the pump cup slip and slide on the pump chamber wall. I’m sure the oil eventually all washed out with the gas but the last one I did that way lasted over 10 years.
