Hopefully she'll take her driving test in it when she turns 16. The DMV license examiner won't know what to do. Lights all work, turn signals, seat belts, wipers, and horn? Check, check, and check. Good to go.
Hey Pete I have been keeping up on the progress of the 911 awsome. Just wanted to give you a heads up that I am returning from Florida on March 30th. Maybe we can get together on some of your other 32 parts that we discussed when I met you last in Sturbridge. Tom gormley 203 233 5901
The bubble since the steering box mount is in a funky place I figured a bubble / blister would be a good option...she’s a big one. Travis at Rhode alliance customs donated his time and materials to make it. Thanks T
so I got one of those offy knock off intakes, I set in on the motor, placed the carbs on and wow was the carb angle off!! I contacted the seller on eBay and told him he was selling marine intakes....he said I was the only one who’s said anything ??? Really ??? Come on instead of returning it I just fly cut the carb bases and it’s fine.
I dunno I sure find parallel parking one of these a challenge...doable yes but if I were me I'd park it and take a driving school course and use their car to get the pass... Then open season for Hotrod... I remember when I was 18 bought a Harley Hydraglide (police bike with no bags or shield) and borrowed an 80cc pipsqueaker cycle to do the test...I met another fella there that rode his fullsize bike and was all confidence...well didn't he just hit every darn pylon and nearly dropped it...needless to say he didn't drive it home...I passed and went home to the Milwaukee Vibrator... So I'm just saying take the modern training for a break on insurance and pick up some lifesaving instruction at the same time...and take the test as your familiar with it by then as well... She's a lucky gal without a doubt...
When I took HS driver training in '66 parallel parking was part of the behind the wheel curriculum and it was part of the DMV drive test. When my son took driver training in 2008 from AAA (the HS no longer offers driver training) they didn't teach parallel parking since its not part of the DMV test any more. WTF? Luckily the instructor made time to teach it to my son.
Well I think she might at a minimum take a driver training course to learn the basics, the test route and what they are going to do literally, practice with whatever she will be using if they have graduated licensing and give it a whirl...
Yep, no more parallel parking, all my kids had to back up straight for a length along side a open curb. Times have changed. That little lady is going to be the envy of her high school!
