Been enjoying watching the progress in the videos. Gonna be a super fun car. Love the nod to Ray’s D-fender. He’s a pal of mine, and its super cool to see the influence that car has had.

I just happened across your videos the other day and subscribed. I figured you had to be here on the HAMB. :)

Can you sneak or link another picture or three of the C-cab trike?

  6. Yeah man, it’s such a cool build, been speaking to him a fair bit lately- might even be getting a set of fenders from him which would make the story even better!

Jorda...awesome things happening...I'm looking at the center strip meeting the lower strip...top is wider...I follow the wide bar to the top of the grill and see how it transitions and am thinking you could mirror that to the bottom...is that how you were thinking? It would look better than a taper by section in my opinion...and I do note a taper in the center rib from top to bottom...if you look at other areas on the grille that pattern repeats both top an bottom...

  15. Yup definitely on the same page! Was thinking round bar or flat bar, not sure yet. It did however make it in one piece back to Canada which is exciting!

I'll bet its trickier getting those bars to line up in reality as it certainly was a challenge in Photoshop...

Photoshop doesn’t have hammers and cutoff wheels. Does it have cleckos?

No but I certainly experience the misalignment Jorda is going to have to deal with...I blended and primed some welds too...I spent 40 years around those clecos...I have some pretty cool ones...an incredible temporary holding device...

I try to keep it real in proportion doing these inspirations I call them...

Being around Mechanical stuff most of my working life and of course you fellas with similar passions helps...grills are pretty delicate...

Thanks for continuing to share your process (and progress)! These videos are great - I've heard of "reverse-eyeing" a spring but never seen it done, so now I know at least one way to git it dun.

That grille shell video (and the work product) is nothing short of amazing.

I was thinking the same thing. They add originality to the look of the frame, but might not add to the structural integrity?

Wow, didn't know this happened in Eastern Oregon. I've been there to visit a few times. need to put this on my bucket list as I'm only hours away!
