I need recommendations for a instrument repair service . I have a 12 volt tachometer that I need repaired. Thanks Jim T.
There are quite a few long-time repair services advertised in Hemming's. But, I have no personal experience.
I have used Ron at Williamsons on rebuilding stock clusters and am very satisfied. Beware that he is a one man band and usually very busy.
Man, I got excited. I thought I was missing out on a gauge for the amount of tacos eaten. I was gonna mount that bad boy on the hood. Taco Meter………..I crack myself up.
Williamson's converted the windup clock in my '54 Ranch Wagon to 12 volt quartz. Dealt directly with the owner. Quality work and a fair price (much cheaper than other quotes I received). Yes it took a month or maybe longer but well worth the wait. IMO And a lifetime warranty.
Who wouldn’t check in to find out more about tacometers? Mine seems to need calibrating, I couldn’t have eaten six? That’s two over the redline. I’ve dealt with Bob’s, great service.
Got into a bet with a guy I worked with one time about who could eat the most tacos, $20 to the winner and the loser pays for the tacos. He quit at 57 ozs. I got to 82 ozs before throwing up. Nobody was counting beers. I think I won, maybe?
I bet a fellow firefighter that he couldn’t eat 24 tacos years ago! He got to about twenty’s and could go no more…..so I got to eat free that day and he got a belly ache! Lol Bones
Ron Williamson, honest, fair, reasonable. Did my 33 Chrysler gauge cluster beautifully. As others have said, be patient, he’s a one man show. If you’re in a hurry find someone else.
I did not know they made tacometers. Does anybody know where I can get one? I eat way too many tacos. Where did you get my picture from?
Did someone say TACOS? Getting back to the original question, depending on what sort of electric tach you need to get fixed, it might be prudent to check out the going prices of tachometers like yours to see if buying a working one might be more cost effective than getting yours fixed.
