I’ve never had a Stude engine. I guess I could talk to Tom Branch about that one….

I found more of that red.
I am beyond excited to finally believe I have found my car.

looks like I’ve got a version I am gonna build.

There’s even more red paint than I could see before. Great job!

you may be able to find the color history of the car if you are lucky. Look in the door jams for the best painted surfaces. Sometimes they are less exposed to the weather. Then take sandpaper and feather edge a spot in the paint showing the layers. Then rub some polish over the spot and you are finished. If you can find a prominent color that will help in tracking down the car.

I tried that. My previous owner said every time they would have primer left at his work he would primer it. I haven’t been able to find any good blue when sanding

but I did find these “blue spots”
The deck lid has the least about of primer and other spray.

Thumbs up. When you zoom in on the close up picture it looks like it has been dark blue metallic, black, and then the medium blue metallic most recently when . And then the preservative coats of paint and primer over that.

The dark blue metallic and the black look pretty thick like they were the color of the car at one time. But definitely the light or medium blue metallic looks like the last color before the brush paint and primer by the previous owner. There may be other colors it has been too.

    I found MORE!!
I’ve been crawling over this car for awhile and now all the parts are starting to “click” to where the car came from. I couldn’t be more excited!!
    I’d wish I can say I’ve 100% confirmed it but I would say I am 90% sure.

in my opinion the red car looks to be chopped a tiny bit more, take a better more correct matching side shot and then do some scaling and you can figure it out for sure.

i have a few 32 5 windows, 3 of them are chopped and all a little different amount from each other and the quarter windows show it.
