This picture popped up elsewhere in my travels, anyone recognize it?

Looks like a movie car (name escapes me) built by Barris. I believe there were two built, one destroyed in the flick (playing "Chicken" and went over a cliff). High School Confidential. 1948.

Interesting. The more I look, the less I know what model it is too.

The Barris built cars were for the movie High School Confidential
Doesn't look like it's the same car to me unless they did the full fadeaways later

The car not wrecked is still around, so it's not the one pictured in the OP. The movie car is a '46 Chevrolet.

It reminds me of a car that Tim Sutton built (and sold)... Doing some searching now to confirm.

Maybe Tim or the current owner added side trim, skirts, bumpers, wheel covers? Sure looks like the car in the first photo.

Here's a photo Tim took of his car, looks very well like it may be the same car (holes for trim are present)

  12. Looks like satillite dish and cable lines in PhilA's photo so that is probably a not a vintage photo and could very well be Tim's car.

It’s an amazing car and a huge labor of love on my part. I know I’m gonna kick myself for selling it in 10 years but hey. I got other fish in the frying pan.
