Some of you may remember awhile back I asked for suggestions for building a dropped tie rod to replace the disaster that some complete bonehead installed in a 32 3W we are working on. I got a few great suggestions and was about to attempt a build on my own when Okie Joe responded with a simple "We can do that". Well he sure did and it is absolutely perfect. I can't remember the last time I was treated this well by someone in the business/hobby. A very big thank you to Joe, Marsha and the crew at Joes Speed Shop in Ponca City, OK, these folks are the best. Many of us are quick to complain when things don't go well but I think we should be equally timely with the thank you. I'll try to attach a couple shots of what Joe built for us and the piece of crap it replaced.
Nice to know there are still people/shops still around who know what they are doing and take pride in their work.
Joe is a gr8 guy. Know him many years ago from old Pate swap meet in Cresson,Tx. Joe always has unusual and cool pieces and is an easy going guy. He is always at Lone Star Roundup in Austin in The same area(inside swap meet). Joe has a early Ford axle twisted end to end with many twists showing the incredible strength of the early Ford axles. Flatheads Forever!!!
