    That Boyle two man restoration looks great, the angled Model A Ford transmission tower is a neat detail. Bob

    Looks really great. It is a lot of work to bring these old racecars to life again but it sure beats just looking at them in old photographs and we get to appreciate them with all of our senses. Cool deal.

    Rick...
    I notice Sreve has a plentiful supply of Bell style 4 spoke steering wheels at his disposal. Can one be had in, 15", 16" or 17"? (by a mere mortal, confined to an ancient 4 springer)

    I recently acquired Three Riley 2” Racing Carburetors that are apart, and a box of parts to assemble them. It is somewhat of a puzzle to a novice like me with these carbs. I may be missing some parts, but all the floats are there. I am confused, as what I think are the Idle and Mid Range Jets on two of the carbs have needle valve adjustments on both the top and bottom of the carb.

    Does anyone have any diagrams or information about the 2” Riley Racing Carbs they could share with me? I would really appreciate any information you could provide. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hey, 29S;
    Look for posts by Kevin Pharis. He should be able to help you. Knows his stuff - well enough to scratch-build Winfields, iirc. @KevinPharis to the HAMB ph, please... :) .

    29Speedster, There should be numbers stamped on the Riley carbs, if consecutive they were in a 3 carb set.

    Josh Shaw who started the Sprint Car thread on here a gazillion years ago should be able to help. He has duplicated at least one version of Riley. I talked to him several years ago at the Miller reunion in Milwaukee and he told me about several "off the shelf" pieces that I could substitute for missing parts on my midget carbs. He has moved on from Zakiras and I think has partnered in a Miller parts and duplication company. Good luck and have fun

    Hello, Is this the same car that you have in your avatar? These photos are from the early 1970's when I was really into the old Dirt Cars. Bob DSCF0072.JPG DSCF0073.JPG

    Your car looks very similar, but it is a different car.

    This is our car: Model B Engine, McDowell OHV, Winfield Carburetors, etc.

    Wish the red #27 was mine, it was in Colorado back in the 1970's. Thanks for the photos of your car #17, was it restored by Joe Gurtler on Long Island, N. Y.?

    I don’t know much about the Riley carbs... but I only know what I know bout the Winfield’s due to the hundreds of hours spent reverse engineering the damn thing...:rolleyes:
