Not many of these around, 1966 Cruiseair, one of 7 ever built. My brother and I have been commissioned to restore it for the son and grandson of the original owner. Big project, I'm doing the mechanical and paint and body, brother is restoring the interior at his vintage trailer restoration shop.
I recently bought this 1964-24 footer, fished it out of the woods near my place. It's in remarkable condition, needs new appliances, but I got everything from a '99 class C motor home, with only 40,000 miles. Can't wait to work on it.
Skin looks great. One piece of advice. Start restoring at the potty. Tanks are often times an option on the early coaches. Gray water was just dumped on the ground. They frown on that today. Start researching it now, so you can build around the idea of installing tanks.
I haven't delved into the holding tanks yet, it has a shower and tub. Trying to find an owners manual. I am going to tow it with my COE, and haul either a Track Roadster or 29 RPU inside the box. It should make travel to and from events a joy.

1954 Silver Streak Since I don't seem to like anything running! lol I thought I would try this and yet still haven't started lol. I purchase this down the street from Hilltop trailers was one of three purchased which gave rise to hilltop in 1957 they closed just before the Covid shut down and I bought it. They said their Grandfather and the Brunswick (Bowling) family bought these new. This one was traded back in 1969 by Brunswick with the condition it would stay in possession of Hilltop in case they wanted it back. It was damaged in a tornado in the 90's and left. Needs everything but mostly original inside. They restored in the 70's hence the ac and gold trim.
It's just an empty box for now. Started as a bread truck, that I cut the front section off, and closed it in.
Getting closer. All that’s left is…everything. What was supposed to be a quick restoration project of our vintage camper trailer quickly snowballed into a complete long term full rebuild. Due to quite a bit of rot, (I’m sure a lot of you know how that goes, especially anybody from Oregon) everything had to be rebuilt from scratch. The overall layout is pretty close to how it was, but I’ve built it all with a bit more mid-century style. The trailer is a 1962 Terry 16’ Cabover

Thanks! Its been a steep learning curve. I'm a machinist by trade and am new to this level of carpentry. I've found the tolerances with wood to be much, much looser to say the least. But I still find myself measuring with calipers from time to time. Thanks! But only for a little while! You took the words right out of my mouth!
Is your friend with all the old trailers interested in selling any? Interested in seeing that unusual streamlined trailer you mentioned!
Here is one that was on Denver CL last year...these were pull-out campers that offered you a nice protective awning cover as well as extra storage shelves, typically used as the kitchen...he was at $12k for the whole rig... An ad back then for same...
We started going to the river in '61, 2 years later my folks and aunt and uncle bought this little Westcraft Westwood, mid '40s I think. This was in Bullhead City, no bathroom in the trailer but the park had a bath and shower for us to use. We were there for 10 years. Dad on the right, uncle on the left but not the one who was partners with M&D. Uncle in the pic bought the Barracuda new in '65 when he graduated high school. Shortly after the pic he was on his way on an all expense paid trip to 'Nam. Barracuda sits in my garage after he unexpectedly passed 2 years ago. Impala wagon was ours, only thing left of it is the 327 also in the garage. Would love to have the trailer too.
Those hub caps are from a Wheel Camper. They built mostly pop-up campers during the 60's-70's but did build box campers for just a few years in the early 70's. My wife and I drug home a 1970 Wheel Camper "Cheyenne" model to redo a couple of years ago.
