The top picture of the Spyder has real Chevrolet knock off wire wheels. The wheels were star drive with the two bar spinners.
They had a bolt on adapter like the Corvettes, 1963 to 1966. Instead of having 5 pins that fit into holes in the wheel the adapter and wheel had a series of raised angled triangles around the edge of the adapter that fit into recesses in the wheel. When the spinner was tightened the triangles drove the wheel like the later pins did on the later knockoffs. The very early 1963 Corvette knockoff wheels also had the star drive and the two wing spinner.
