I bought four of these at an auction last year. I'm guessing they are mid-fifties something, but maybe someone can pinpoint it for me? And yes, they will be for sale.

They are 15x6", with approx 3-3/4" backspace. The bolt pattern is 5", and the hubcap opening is 6-1/2".

    Thanks for any help.

Look at mid 50's Packard 400's/Caribbean....they had the 5X5 bolt pattern and wide hub cap opening.

Buick Skylark wires have exposed lugnuts no center cap covering them.

I'm like Jack, thinking aftermarket.....the Packards were made by Motor Wheel and were stamped on the inside lip.

So, comparing the pics of mine to the Cad and Packard, I notice a few things. The Cad wheel has each spoke cross another twice. The Packard and mine crosses only once. The Cad only has 5 holes inside, whereas mine and the Packard have 5 to mount and 5 little ones (locating pins?). The outer flange of the center section seems narrower on the Cad, and seems to match on mine and the Packard.

So, I'm guessing my wheels are Packard. Unless they are also aftermarket from same vendor??????

Identify. You don't mean like pronoun do ya? :D:D

But yeah, I'm in the Packard line too.

5 on 5 with the locating pin. Just happened to have a Packard handy:cool:

They're Motor Wheel wire wheels. They were an aftermarket wheel that was made in many different sizes and bolt patterns for many different cars. Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth used them as factory options so many people think of them as Mopar wheels but they were also made for other things. There should be a 3 digit code that starts with "7" on the back lip of the wheel where the tire rides timed close to the valve stem hole

Glad to see Wheelkid is still on the case. Haven't seen as many posts from you as I used to.
You really are an invaluable source of wheel knowledge; thanks for what you do!
