Was just thinking about this coming summers events and was wondering if the HAMBer turnout was going to be as strong this year as past events. How about a roll call (with pics if possible) of those planning to attend Deuce Days in Victoria, BC this summer. It’s July 14-17th.

I’ve only missed the first and one other so I’ll be there unless I get “green binned”! However, even though I thought I could get my 5W to be at least a runner it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen unfortunately. I may hang a pic around my neck just so I can feel like my car is in attendance. LOL. This time we’re staying from Friday to Sunday at the James Bay Inn just a few blocks away. Really look forward to the best car show I’ve ever been too...

A rogues gallery could be fun with a front view and side view.

Im booked in for the show. Now just need the body back from paint so I can put the car back together again before July. I have attended the last 2 shows so I’m looking forward to having a car there this year

Well you may need to remortgage with the price of fuel out here! Maybe tow a tanker behind your ride and bootleg Alberta Gold to us....

I'm registered and have a room reserved but may have to miss this one. My first grand child is due just about that time.

Watching the cars get off the ferry is a major attraction. Hope it gets sorted out.

I had the fenders/boards/lights/aprons hung on her when I was doing the glass patterns last Fall. Considering using the fenders on first iteration, but we’ll see.

That’s actually the Coho operated by the Black Ball Ferry that unloads in the harbor. It is privately owned I believe and runs between Port Angeles and Victoria. Here’s a link.

With the Anacortes - Sidney ferry being iffy that may put an extra load on the Port Angeles Victoria run.
It calls for taking a ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge, or Edmonds to Kingston, Seattle to Bremerton or driving across the Narrows bridge at Tacoma or going out past Olympia and up through Shelton or the Kitsap pennisula.

Wow, we’re down to 3 months in the countdown. For those of us trying to finish something new, I guess we better get our tails in gear.

Any more folks decide to go yet? I understand it’s sold out for some time now, so I hope a bunch of hambers got in early.

I registered but not sure I’ll be driving the model A out there. My kids want to come this time, so might make a vacation out of it and drive a boring car.
I put low gears in since last time out, and the 3k rpm screaming and 200 km fuel stops would be pretty unenjoyable. Haha.

    No problem! Here's the answer:

think of it as having an overdrive for road trips, but it takes you an hour to engage or disengage the overdrive :)

not that I would ever do anything that stupid....I had my son along, he helped me change the 3.00 gears to 4.11 and back again on Drag Week 2015. We had the highway gears in for the 1500 mile drive to the event, the racing gears in for the 1200 miles of the event, and put the highway gears back in for the drive home.

I have heard that the WA State ferry from Anacortes will not be running. They removed the ferry to replace one elsewhere. US residents need to plan accordingly.

A friendly reminder to all our southern friends.......to afford trouble with Canada Customs, leave your hand guns at home. Canada in general and BC in particular doesn't have a concealed carry or open carry law. Hand guns are classed as a restricted weapon, there are a considerable amount of hoops to jump through to even own one. Canadian Customs agent are also far better finding hidden ones than you are at hiding them

Plan to be there in my Avatar. Not sure how, given potential issues with Anacortes ferry. Maybe up through Vancouver.

I REALLY like this version of your sedan. The fenders and mags are very nice too, but this is - wow.

  26. There are still some requirements for U.S. citizens entering Canada in regards to COVID vaccinations/testing, etc. It seems to be kind of a moving target, so it would be wise to monitor developments on Canadian visitors websites. Plan ahead! Good luck and enjoy!

I went up to Nanaimo to race at the dirt track in the early 90's, had a little motorhome. After getting off the Blackball, at Customs, they asked what I had for fruits and vegetables. The guy must have needed something for dinner. What he didn't know was, I was sneaking in a set of race tires for a Canadian friend.
