A good friend has a problem with the switch. No brand or name was seen. Where can he find a replacement.

Thanks, yes it may be able to be repaired, but would rather have a replacement switch because 1. these are probably getting harder to find each year, might as well have one spare, and 2. the chances it can be serviced increase when you have a replacement on the seat. Just like the flat tire happens a lot more when you don't have a spare! Really hoping someone can ID the light/switch and offer a part # or source. My friend is a great caretaker of this beauty, but isn't ready to dive into disassembling this in his narrow 1-car storage garage. I'd love to swap it out, but will be going back home hundreds of miles away shortly and don't want to leave it apart or slapped together still not working. Looking at it, I know there is at least one spring in there, and I don't want to break or lose parts. If it was mine and at home, I'd take the risk. I'm hoping that I can get the part and fix it for him, right, the first time for sure.
That is a GM S16 accessory spotlight . There is currently a complete handle on EBay for sale . It’s rather pricy , but it’s available if you choose to purchase it .

Thanks, gentlemen! Currently in LA, so if one is available, it's a decent bet it can be found here. I'll be able to check the local places now I know what to ask for. GM S16 will narrow it down well. The HAMB comes through again! I asked the owner this morning to look for this thread. He can make the call on repairs and parts.
We went ahead and dove in, got it fixed! The bulb is out, so will have to get into the other end. Again, thanks for the information and encouragement!
got the bulb end all figured out, but couldn't source a bulb today. my friend has a firm grasp of the procedure to replace and will swap once he finds a bulb.

GM part L4535 , 6 Volt, part number 444279 his is not a sealed beam, rather a riveted bulb and reflector. the glass is separate with a rubber seal and the single wire is soldered to the slip ring at the pivot. the ground is provided through the reflector to the body of the light. like this one,that has a bulb number I'll follow up on. https://www.ebay.com/itm/363741822557 "The bulb has the number 1323 on it and it says 32C 6-8V so it is a 6 volt bulb " the one you found may work as a replacement, but would require a bit of fitting. I'll pass this along and hope he can use it. only concern is the locating lug all sealed beams have and this one seems to have too, along with the wiring. this has been a bit of an effort because I'm away from my usual desktop , the laptop is lame and I'm not used to doing all this on the phone. learning while on a trip is going to happen, it's growth, right??
