Yep, on the drivers side of the engine just above the oil filter. I used to get about 2 bucks every time I changed one of those at the dealership. All I had to do was walk over to the lube rack and unscrew one and screw the other one in. Robert the lube guy already had the car up on the hoist doing an oil change and he usually had the new switch there ready to put in. A mechanic had to change them and flag it on the ticket. If it is a real Pontiac 350 the only similarites between it and a Chevy 350 are that both were GM and both are 350 CI everything else is different.
My Olds is a '68 (OT) and shares nothing much in common with her malibu sista. Maybe a windshield and a window motor, other than that you would never know they served under the same General in the muscle car wars Engine spins backasswards, 12 bolt posi's are 10 bolt posi's with extra bolts on the cover, BOP trannys, I think the lower ball joints interchange. Of the three only Buick survives and by a Roadmaster's thread I might add. I am sort of glad that Olds and Pontiac didn't make it. I'd hate to see an electric GTO or 442 buzzing about. Oh the shame.
I thought that Pontiac V8s had the oil filter on the passenger side and the starter on the drivers side!
Moonshine Do you still have that 153 cu. in. chevy II engine, I need a carb for that same engine. Thanks Bill
