Hot Rods Model A coupe seat question ?

hello folks , quick question is a 1930 , 1931 model A coupe seat the same as a 1929 A coupe seat ? I was told the 30,31 was 2 inches wider I have a 29 , looking at a 30 seat to put in it .
I can see the seat base is different 29 to 30, but if I put the seat with the base from a 1930 coupe will it fit in my 29 coupe, or is the seat to wide , thanks

a 30 base is more square, and a 29 is tapered toward the front.
The doors will hit a 30 seat in a 29

 

I have never tried to fit a 30-31 in a 28-29, so can't directly answer your question. I do have a complete 30-31 seat and base that I could measure for you though if that would help. Let me know what dimensions you need.
