This 2013 photo was posted to Facebook, without any location or owner information. I’m curious if it’s my old car, which I sold in 1997. That owner later sold it to a gentleman in the Northeastern US. I was told that the car had received a mild top chop and had been painted yellow. The car in this photograph uses early Chevy spindles & drum brakes, has a flat, 4” deep recessed firewall, like my car. Even the radiator support rod firewall mounting looks like the ones I made. If it’s my car, it has a State of Tennessee issued VIN. I’d like to speak with the owner, regarding the car. I can share original build photos & construction history with them.
The photographer just responded to my inquiry. This photo was taken at the Rodders Journal Revival in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2013.
@4ever18 what color was it when you had it ? I'm digging that yellow, looks like mustard vs a super bright shade. Sunfire Yellow (pale) is usually the only yellow I personally like.
I sold the car minus engine, tires & wheels. The color was dark gray/black primmer. The fellow that bought it from me installed his engine, along with steel wheels, white wall tires, and some sort of full wheel covers- then sold the car, still in primmer, at the NSRA Streetrod Nationals South (Knoxville, TN). Here’s what it looked like with my tires & wheels.
Seems the front suspension is why you think it was your old car. Good luck in the search. Is it possible to find and look through the venue it was last in?
It’s not just the Chevrolet spindles & brakes. The firewall & radiator support rod firewall brackets are identical to the pieces I fabricated for my car, including the boxes at the bottom firewall corners , thru which you would access the front body bolts.
