I KNEW you’d like them! It was my vision the whole time....just haven’t gotten around to media blasting, straightening and polishing the stainless.... what if I told you I was painting them yellow? :p:D.....

    just kidding....they’ll match the body...

Thank you Elco! I’ve been hitting it bits at a time....someone in the past cut a square hole in the center and I used my imagination to the best of my abilities and made what I had on hand work....thanks for droppin’ in!!

Yep....that’s the consensus, so I’m goin with the caps and trim rings! Got some work to do though...they need to be stripped and painted and the stainless needs some massaging and polishing.....

Well....got my “foul weather” gear done....it could be tweaked a little, but I’m happy with it. Had it out on a frigid day and it made a big difference! It will spend the warm months in the trunk anyway....I’ll have it in case I get caught out in the rain. But it will allow me to drive it more comfortably during the colder months..... stay warm everyone! Thanks for checking in!!

Wow....that's a lot to cover! Thanks Tim, I'm glad you enjoyed it. There's still more to come as I finish up the interior, install trunk latch and handle and I'm deciding how I'm going to mount my "cat eye" fog lamps. Thank again for coming by!!

Started my door panels....will be using same material as roof. Nothing too fancy.... the wife's sewing machine doesn’t like it too much, it’s a little stretchy. But, I should be able to make some rudimentary pattern so it won’t just be blah... I’d like to order some foam for maybe some minor padding....like everything else with this build, we shall see :D ......thanks for droppin’ by fellas!!

Try some of that 1/4 inch sew foam. Neat stuff. Look forward to seeing what you come up with

Yay or Nay for the horn location? It kinda blends in....
I also have air horns that I will be hiding under the floor....unless you get on your knees, you won’t be able to see them! Thank for the input fellas!!

I would say "nay" - i think it looks like a bit of an afterthought and clutters up the front. But what do i know!

  21. No go bro. Looks like someone had no where else to put them. Too cluttered.

As always, delivered with respect for you and how much work you have in this car. Just one opinion.

A man I used to work for, years ago always said you can't say no to one of his ideas unless you had an idea to offer up as an alternative! I think that applies in this case, where else would you mount them?

I think it would be better if it was behind the grill insert.

My first thought was somebody that's got a mole under their eye.... :D:D
It's the meep meep horn that I want, but space is just at a minimum up front. I may do what Aaron said and hide it behind the lower grille shell....

I think Aaron is on to something here....I'll probably hide it behind the lower grille shell.....there's some space back there.....

Thanks for all the input fellas!

If you like it, I'll like it. At first encounter it stands out, but there's nothing wrong other than it ain't stock. Welll ...

Thanks Tom! Well, I had the coupe parked outside yesterday while working on my Wife's car....as I drove past it and looked, you could barely notice the horn. It blended in. So I guess taking a still photo and highlighting the horn may have had the effect of making it stand out.... I may move it to the other side and see. I will be adding Unity fog lamps as well, so that may hide it more.....we shall see....

I'd say nay also. Just put it under the floor. It doesn't need to be on the front of the car. Less is more. the simpler and more uncluttered the better.

Took a trip down memory lane today and took a ride to the neighborhood I grew up in....stopped at the old abandoned swim club that was basically my babysitter during the summer days.... I loved that place! Went there into my teens. Got my first girlfriend and kiss at that place.
Anyway, put a shit ton of miles on the coupe today and she ran flawlessly! Ran it hard at times too! More to come when I’m ready to install the interior and other things....thanks for letting me ramble fellas, enjoy the rest of your weekend!
