I recently purchased a 1962 Ford Falcon Squire Wagon. As some of you know I'm currently in the process of building a 1962 Ford Falcon 2-door sedan for street / strip fun. While searching for Falcon parts I came across this wagon. It's all original and never messed with. The owner had numerous boxes of extra parts, literature, receipts, and the history of the wagon. I've been doing some improvements and searching for accessories. The real reason I bought it was because it was a "woody!" It's a lot of fun.

  2. Very nice. Looks like it just drove out of a 1962 Ford dealer showroom .

Don’t recall ever seeing one like that…..probably have but just don’t remember. Has to be fairly rare, especially in such nice condition. Congrats on your find.

  15. I am a huge sucker for wagons, I currently have a 65 Futura wagon and am a Falcon fan as well. Mine is a 289 three on the tree and not nearly as original as yours but not bad either. Squires are very hard to find nice like yours, congrats!

It needs some as-cast TTs and red line tires to match that interior. I like it alot.

Great looking find! 170 with 2 spd Fordo? My first auto trans rebuild was a 60 Falcon Ranchero with that trans. Coupled to a 144. Not a speed demon! Had a huge knock that turned out to be a stud broken off the torque converter. No fluid, burned clutches.

  21. That Baby was top of the line in 62! What a beautiful survivor, I would drive the wheels off that wagon. I’ll bet I could even get my Wife to drive it! Great score!

You know we gotta ask….. what did you give for this thing? If you plan on flipping it you don’t have to tell us.

I got a really fair deal for the Falcon. It sat on Craigslist for a long time before I sent the owner an offer. Great guy! He actually cried when I loaded it up. I located some 1962 Washington state license plates for it.

170 Special with a two speed Ford-o-matic. The wife and I took it on a 300 mile trip just after I bought it. Believe it or not, the wagon averaged 32 miles to the gallon! That’s amazing to me.

My 1st car was a country squire my dad gave me after he bought a new Olds. To say I have a soft spot for them is a serious understatement.

I see you have a padded dash and back up lights, do you have the power tail gate window?
