I would flip that filter around in the Frogs Mouth as it may end up sucked into the carb...I had problems with the foam flying out...what I did was use some 3/8" or maybe better, 1/4" square mesh from the local Hardware Store and cut it into circular shapes and fit it between the rubber lip on the non meshed side locking it in...it was still removable as I know those filters are washable...

You might even find a similar mesh at the right store...I just used what was handy...you can use the rest for the rodents...I saw they were REAL plentiful your way...did you get the fender issue worked out?

I have stopped running them as well but I had 94's...a different animal...I may have removed them blaming them when it was something else though...

Thanks for the heads up guys, in hindsight I should have drilled lots of holes (like a screen) instead of cutting out centre of adaptors for airflow. Glen

I had a recent idea to paint some moon eyes on my header caps, so I made some stencils and brought some high temp paint. They came out ok I think, still a little bit of fine tuning to go. Glen 390.JPG 394.JPG 395.JPG 396.JPG 403.JPG

You could add a hundred different things Glen, but all I see are the red wheels.

Changed steering universals today from cheap crap to quality units - I feel safer now, also changed wheels for a different look. Glen 422.JPG 433.JPG 438.JPG 440.JPG

Now we can see the effort you put into painting that motor. Nice set of plain caps next.
Over here, the grub screws must have lock nuts added. For that to work, nuts need cutting in half to be useful, or acquire longer grubs.

Thanks guys, Loudbang I do prefer the black wheels but one of my front rims was buckled and caused some front end vibration so I left the red ones on ( I do like the look with the red wheels though ). 3Banjos the grub screws do have locknuts on them and I do have some baby moons but I prefer the wheels with no caps. I for the 1st time reversed my Frogs Mouths 180° to what you are running...1 it looks different and 2 it may run differently...I have open hood too...

There's Threads on the Air scoop position effects...

It's near Heater time here...how about your way...

Thanks Stogy, winters over here now, weather starting to warm up - maybe if lock down eases soon us Aussies may be able to get back on the road again. I like the look of the frog mouths current position - still chasing a tune up from previous air filters, more air available from the frog mouths changed the tune big time. Glen

Car has been registered for exactly one year now, done 5200 km, only issue was a flat tyre 2 weeks ago (no room for a spare). Not 100% happy with gear knob so I machined grooves in original Lokar Knob as well as all other dash knobs. Im happy now. Wish all you guys and gals a safe and happy Xmas. Me likes. Nice simple build. You did a great job. Say, maybe I missed something, are you required to run fenders on the rear and is it required to run RHD? Also, it would be totally rad with a early Hemi between those frame rails, just sayin.

RHD is needed for the club rego scheme in my state of Victoria although you can register some LHD cars in this and other Australian states. Fenders are required front and rear in Australia. I do have a blown 392 hemi from my Topolino altered but the block is filled and heads are solid - otherwise it might have found its way in there, but the SBC is just fine anyway. Thanks Glen

Car has been running on the hot side when in traffic on a hot day, so I did some research and decided to move fan closer to radiator and fabricate a shroud - a few pics. All I have to do is finish sand and paint matt black..Glen P1010110.JPG P1010113.JPG P1010123.JPG P1010126.JPG P1010134.JPG
