Heartfelt sorrow for your loss, Jack. She sounds like a wonderful lady, and a great Mom! I miss my mom dearly... but they live on in our hearts and minds, because of the kindness and love that they showed us :). Nice tribute Jack!

  12. lots of neat stuff today, thanks to all who post,...here's my very latest, ...I got infatuated with old cars watching the old dirt track cars run every weekend in the 50's & 60's, some of the best of times.

Thoughts are with @hotrodjack33 and family and friends in the passing of Mom...with a collaboration with Jack and a cruise in tribute to her...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It really means something special coming from my fellow HAMBers :).

Incidently, she was "ready" and at peace with God. She passed peacefully in her sleep at home...she even had her daily Manhattan and cigarette that evening. Who could ask for anything better:)

...also, I posted this drawing over on the "photoshop" thread and @themoose was kind enough to beautifully re-colorize it back to it's former glory. Thank you my friend.

Geez, Jack, I wish I could have come up with something like that piece
when my mother took over my red '68 Nova SS after I bought my '63 'vette.
It looks kool colorized, the pink and black works.

Thanks Roy, just as there's many times strange faces coincidentally found in vintage car parts it's not limited to that as sometimes the shapes remind one of other things...I noted that after looking at the pic one day long after taking it and wondered if the Chevrolet designer was possibly influenced by the GM Diesel Locomotive at that time when drafting that piece of trim...

This rusty Stylemaster was so destroyed and deteriorated but that trim was gleaming almost as brightly as the day it came off the showroom floor...
