Scored this long wanting of another '57 Ford Country Sedan wagon. Had one in '66 as my race car tow vehicle. 3 spd overdrive. My now score is a 292, auto. And really kool. Power steering, power brakes, dropped spindles, air, tissue dispenser. A real cruiser.
Love it. We had a '58 Ford wagon when I was a kid. It was lowered and had 312 engine. I thought it was very cool back then. Secretly I liked the '57s Ford's front end better though.
Wow, that's really nice. Yours and Danny's and Brenda's wagons would look awesome parked next to each other.
man oh man.... I made the pics big for ya, always choose full image when posting pics... great car man
Screw that Ricky. That '57 Wagon would look BETTER parked next a certain HAMBer's '36 Cabriolet...permanently
Yea...stance is just right - Nice ! Just color me Green with envy There's your custom license plate...GRNWNV
Somebody really loved that car and took very good care of it ! Congratulations on a great score ! Make sure the hood release mechanism is well adjusted and lubricated !
My grandparents had two,4door blue and white with gold in the trim also a two door 292 3 speed overdrive! wish I had both of them now
I had a really nice 57 for a while. Sold it to @Lancer and then he sold it to @Malcolm I believe. Not sure if it is still owned in the hamb family.
Nice find. They are great riding cars. I've had my '57 Ford wagon for 23 years. I bought it to clean up a little and resell.....but I like it so much I haven't sold it yet. I rebuilt the 292 in it back in 2000. If I was doing it again today, I'd probably go with a 460 so I could pull a trailer with it.
Well , I was a little envious when you posted your coupe ! Now shucks I ain’t lookin no more . Lol , beautiful enjoy , 1 st car I ever had was my dads 57 ford 2 door off white and tan , plastic bubble seat covers , a simpler time , “ never thought I’d be so young and talk about the good old days “
Damn, that is one sweet wagon! Have to love the styling in those days! God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
Yep....just had that aerodynamic experience of it popping open. Thank goodness for the safety latch....copious wd-40 applied.
Online....quite a few out there. Decided to gamble...sight unseen. Few bruises....nothing major...someone did V air, old time radio, dropped spindles and disc brakes, PS, new wheels/tires/hubcaps, new dual exhaust,. Lots of nicnacks....but drives nice...
