i find that funny it was usually paired with pornography, gotta wonder why it never made it to the screens for younger audiences.
Good thing we got snow and shit weather. Spoiler alert... Just kidding. Watch it guys n gals, 50s mush at it's finest. Better than a lot of em just like Ryan said, but don't take that for too much. Cars were kool too.
And the Documentary where Bing and Kurt owned the Portland Mavericks baseball team is even a better watch.
I've always thought "Teenage Thunder" was the best of the 50's hot rod genre. Good storyline and fairly decent acting. Seems like it was usually double-billed with "Carnival Rock" Mick
I asked on this thread about the A roadster, was it ever featured in any of the publications of the period? Looks like the windshield posts were chopped and the windshield dropped straight onto the top of the filled tank.
Teen Age Thunder Hello, Nice old cars hot rods and drag racing cars, in the movie. I liked the final scene that puts an “old guy” in the driver’s seat for some fun times. Jnaki It is a great final expression that we all once had or used when looking back over our shoulders, when stopped. YRMV Some expressions that last forever:
i remember one where the kids got their kicks by bashing each other's hub caps at high speed. crappy movie, but great-sounding, built flatheads!
Great movie. Those were some pretty neat cars. Lots of memories from the house and neighborhood. In 1957 I was only 11, so that would have been “off limits” by the Mother that knew everything. I do remember sneaking and seeing Hot Rod Girl and another epic when they came out. We would get a free movie pass after School Safety Patrol drill once a month. Ride the bus downtown from drill, eat at the Krystal (10 for $1 burgers) and catch a movie. Good times!
