    Define olde days.
Boy, tough to say just one, where does one start.
Ok, a tad OT but if there is just one (and you would have needed inside information) would be a 67 Chevy II with the L-79 engine option.

If I was working the line at either Chrysler or Desoto in '57, and more than likely not been able to have afforded one, I'd have been fired in a Johnny Cash "One Piece at a Time" style sting. You're never making it out of the building with those fins. 57Desoto.jpeg

I have been a Nomad nut for over 50 years (and have owned mine for 31 years this month) so I would say a '56 Nomad in Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige like this one
    cb2ccafd7e9bb249e116f8d9629109ff.jpg

And since I owned a Dusty Rose and White '57 Coupe DeVille from 1984-1992 and it was one of the most enjoyable road cars I've driven, I would say a brand new one, straight out of 1957!

Sorry, but if I have to take a car off the production line, it would have to be an off topic 70 Mopar performance car, hopefully one I could order myself.

A lot of nice choices, owned or drove several of them when they were new but one of my choices would be this Cadillac. If you could have owned one in "the day" it meant you had made it. They were simply elegant. 1932-Cadillac-V-16-Convertible-Coupe-by-Fisher-Exterior-002-Side-Profile.jpg

    1956-1964 Chrysler Corp. push-button vehicles.

Top of the list would be a '64 Dodge 440 (trim level name, not engine) 2 door hardtop with a 426 HEMI with push button in Anniversary Gold, or as we in my circle affectionately call " Yucka Tan"
    64 Dodge 440.jpg

Second choice anything from 1957-1958, Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, or Chrysler. Car, wagon, or truck. I am not fussy!

So many choices, depending on decade. For me a 33/34 Ford 3 window or Tudor Sedan, For 40's the classic 40 ford coupe, For 50's a 56 chevy nomad or hardtop coupe or a 57 ford 2 door w/ a 312. The 60's had too many to choose
from as did the early 70's.

You guys need to sharpen your pencils. Yours for around $18,000 in 1962, less than that a couple years later in the nickel ads. Times that by 1000 to get a California Spyder today. Droooool!

I grow more and more fond of the '60 Ford Sunliner. I dunno, I must be getting a little older. :D

  30. The 4-speed was available as a dealer-installed option mid-year in '61. BW had an exclusive contract with GM that ran until the end of the 1960 calendar year, once that expired, they were then able to sell to all comers.
