Technical A few Pontiac engine and car questions from 1958

Did Pontiac make a 389 in ‘58?
And maybe from a B body car?

My kid sent me a video of an AD Chevy PU and the info on the plates led me to ask the Pontiac folk here

 

I thought that was a 1959 thing, the 370 was still around in 58.

pics of the plate in question would help solve the mystery

Only full size cars in 58/59. I assume they were "b" bodies. There was nothing else. 370 in 58, then 389 starting 59.
