  4. Why can't you run solid core plug wires with an msd box?

Might have something to do with feeding lots of voltage back into the amplifier? I don't know, I'd have to get my brother to figure it out. He's pretty good with electronics.

  7. So that is why you run suppression core?

Why do people do what they do?

    I'm stumped!

  14. Fellas, if you want to stump @squirrel ya gotta ask the hard questions. You know, like which provides better torque ratios a 2500 stall converter or a 3500?

Probably the 2500. But since the engine is making more power at 3500 rpm, you'll launch harder with it, and the engine is further up in the power band, so you'll go quicker too.

I run resistance core wires because that's what I can get at Rock Auto for $10 a set. And they work fine.

    What cam should I buy?
1962 327 SBC, (a real Corvette 340 HP block), will use 9.5 CR pistons, 186 double humpers (2.02s), GM intake 8872783 (square bore mount), this is for a future unknown project, but probably be used in some fat fender unit. I have an extra 200 4r trans, but would prefer a 5 SP manual, either way with highway rear gear, like 3.00, no plans to race it. Would like the classic L79 look and perf, but with a roller cam setup - maybe.

Build the car, then pick the cam that will work in it.

    Why do people say RPMs?

    Because they don't know better.
    It's Revolutions Per Minute
    not Revolutions Per MinuteS.
