I’m no help for info, but I agree, the fella in the back seat of the Stude looks exactly like the first pic of the guy beside the truck.

I thought so too! I found a picture of the hot rod my Dad's cousin told me my Dad built from the ground up. Here's a picture; that's my Dad beside it. Thx for responding! Dad car.jpg

Thanks for responding! Looks like my Dad's in the drivers' seat too; same plaid shirt as he has on. I just posted a pic of a hot rod my Dad's cousin told me my Dad built from the ground up.

The hot rod is much more recognizable, that's the one someone would recognize and remember. Looks like a 1928 or 1928 Model A Ford roadster pickup, with a '32 Ford grille and a spring-in-front front axle. Has the same hubcaps on it as the Studebaker does.

I saw the hubcaps looked the same. Thanks for letting me know what you think it is. This is all quite exciting for me.

Here's another shot of the car my Dad built. Looks like he made it into a Christmas card; I recognize his handwriting! This must be from the early 1960's.

I have been following this from the start and have some information that may help you or at least narrow down the years of your search. I have an original program from the Road Knights Motorama dated October 25 1969 in it is a list of members at that time but your dads name was not in there. The Road Knights were formed in 1954 so he could have been a member before the 1969 car show. This was the Road Knights last car show and the club disbanded a while later.

I just love threads like these.
One question, is the pic above the very first peekaboo doll at a car show?

Thanks. Dad was born in 1940, am not sure what years he was a part of the RK. I bet Barry Frisk's name is on there!!

    Thank you.

We bought it in 2018 from a little dealership in Stony Plain, Alberta. It was in pretty rough shape, clearly the last owner did not maintain nor appreciate the truck.

Poor thing looks like it had a rough life. So what are the chances you actually own it? What does the interior look like? The engine compartment? The bed floor? Enquiring minds want to know?

The chances of me owning it are very high. The photo I posted is of my son in front of the truck and my profile also has the truck in it.....

The interior is decent at best, no longer has the nice red and white seats that matched the headliner there is 2 red leather seats from a Corvette from the mid 70's. Gauges don't read accurate anymore but work still move. There was a stereo "added" in very rough as the head unit just hangs from under the dash. Under the hood it has a 460, when we got the truck the motor mounts were just about sheered off but all and all in decent shape. The bed floor was just 3/4" plywood with no covering.

Needless to say it needs a lot of work to make it look like the truck it once was but it is a very cool and unique truck no matter what shape its in.

Or maybe you are just looking at it from the wrong perspective?

Sorry...I'm just now seeing your post. He was always in Regina & didn't own a '55 Pontiac, but there were lots of Balogs around!
