  13. That was/is owned by, oh shoot, can't remember his name out of Wichita. He's brought it to Dewey a time or two....he's brought a black 46/48 Ford convertible with flames the last couple of times. Royboy did a quick photoshoot of the blue Chevy and mine at the first Lead Ain't Dead.

Edit: I see the same seller (who is not the guy from Wichita) has the Ford listed for sale also.

Sonny's Dodge is one of my top 5 customs ever. Love, love, love that car.

  22. I can never look at a '53-'56 Ford F-100 (or Mercury M-100) without thinking about the late Bob Wheeler's Effie. His will always be one of my favorites. I remember seeing it in person at the 20th Leadsled Spectacular in Wichita back in 2000. This is the version I saw then.

I personally liked it better with skirts on it, but everyone knows how I feel about skirts. My friends always tease me and say "Ed would put skirts on a skateboard". Lol! Here's a shot of Bob's truck with the skirts on it.

Bob was the genius behind the teardrop knobs that Night Prowlers sold back when Mollye and Gary Glasgow owned it. I made mention of that in a post in this very thread a long time ago.

Hard to believe Bob has been gone close to 17 years now. Time sure passes fast..........E

  24. Glad this merc is still around, but where did the beautiful skirts go?! Wahhhhhh!

I have Bob's knobs in both my Merc and the Chevy. I had forgotten about his truck. I do love it.
