Arlen Kurtis (Frank Kurtis' son) brought this example out for some fresh air several years ago, to one of our Muntz Mania gatherings. This was at the Santa Maria Inn (rooftop).

I owned one back in the '90's. I lost track of it and sadly didn't even keep records of the serial number. As there are so few of them, I suspect I will stumble on it and share some photos with the owner. A unique car and with a connection to Kurtis.

I don't recall that I've ever seen a 500M in person, but I've seen many 500S's (probably 10+) over the years -- especially at vintage racing events: 54-kurtis-500s-dv-18-sj-001-800.jpg

I don't believe that the Kaiser Darrin was influenced by Kurtis in any way. Kurtis was really about performance, and Kaiser was not.

Hey gnuse, and everyone else, stop on by the Kurtis Kraft Facebook group. I've reposted my collection of pictures and info on the 500M, and you may see yours as it is today there. But I always like to see pics and hear stories from the owners, past and present.
