Flathead powered 52 and 53 Ford cars used this emblem, possibly used on some earlier ones although I know my '53 had one on it originally. When the Y block came out they changed the design of the V8 emblem.

  5. I know exactly what the seller meant. I tried selling these years ago and couldn’t even get a taker at less than 10K gold value. LOL

I saved this from the trash today. The clock motor was bad, so I changed it out. This clock motor was also salvaged from another clock saved from the trash. Check the hands out.

That's really cool! I haven't seen one of those being used in about 45 years. The last time was during the Iran hostage crisis. They had a ring of them shining into the sky around the Lincoln memorial.

Just a little side bar...the three C's on the bottom means Continental Can Company. My father worked for them for 42 years as a machinist in a couple of their Baltimore plants. Gene.

That, my man, is a perfect tractor tach! Fact is, it probably came on a diesel or a tractor. Most older tractors run below 3 grand so this is a great addition.

My son used mine in his Industrial Arts class in high school, it was a big hit with the teacher, he had never seen one.

My older brothers and I used to run a couple of those at the Indy 500 the night before the race. We would shine them in the usual places that people would sneak in at night. Good times.
