Some of the early 66 production L79 blocks were a "721" and then the "362" finished out the run through 67.

Tunnel ram looks good Dan, changes the whole look of the engine bay! Saw someone mention putting the battery in the front, glad to see you have it in the back where it belongs on a hot rod!

Well it has been a hell of a long time since posting. I have been tinkering and have made progress. I am hoping to be on the road in the spring!

I have wired the car, finished up the drivetrain and installed the interior which are big steps.

I have also paint matched the few spots that had the paint removed. The match is good although the shine is off. I wetsanded and polished the entire car before installing the front and back glass. I ended up taking the glossy finish down with grey scotch brite.....waaaaay to shiney for this guy. The trim, handles are all on along with the bumpers.

More recently I finished plumbing the trans and fuel lines to the mechanical fuel pump and am working to finish up brake line plumbing as well as oil pressure/water temp senders.

Oh and I found a good running used 283 (yes 283.....) from a buddy. I regasketed it completely and added a set of worked over "601" 53cc 1.84/1.50 cylinder heads. Thanks to fatbob for the "256" cam and lifters. The drivetrain is installed and complete ready for the first fire up in the spring.

I probably forgot a bunch but she is getting close!
