I'm not sure if I've posted this one.
I put a little over 93,000 miles on this (yes, another two door wagon) one. Only had to be towed home once and that was because of a stuck closed thermostat.
A 259 Stude engine, Edelbrock carburetor on an Offenhauser intake manifold, automatic trans., 3.55 posi rear axle.
From around the corner to 300 mile round trips.

And for all of those that like "power" equipment, when the power booster failed, I just removed it rather than fix it. When the power steering failed, I removed all of it rather than fix it !
It didn't need all that old lady helper stuff.

I think I looked at this Lark Wagon when it was for sale in Chicago several years ago. May not be the same, but sure seems like it. Small world…o_O

First of all, I hope you didn’t get hurt. That’s a beautiful pickup, what drivetrain did you use?

My wife's Lark. She's owned it for about 30 years. I've mentioned it on the HAMB before, but it's been a while. She had been noticing this puppy in a storage yard for a while when it disappeared. Upon checking, she found the owner, and he said it had been stolen. I saw it a month later, sitting in a private storage yard, used for Oakland to impound cars. The storage yard owner wanted 3 grand for one months storage. I talked him down to 800, then went to check it out. Every panel was kicked in, including the roof. All glass was broken. No wheels or tires. It was a mess, to put it mildly. I said to myself, no way, and walked away. About 30 feet away, I made a fatal mistake. I looked back. That damned license plate was staring back at me, saying PLS, like Please..... The rest is history. I bought the critter and fixed it up, then gave it to my wife for Xmas. It now has a 289 Kettering with a close ratio 4-spd. Lark 004.JPG lark 006.JPG

That is why there are 4 in my yard, I think they have feelings.
