Now this street '63 Dart AWB, 6-71 440, 4-speed. It's exhilerating and terrifying all at the same time. Touch scared of it.

My first hotrod 28A Bob tail roadster, powered by Thunderbird 57V8, I built 1959 for high school, was then pretty over the top,I think it sill is. I still drive it.
I owned n driven a far amount of much faster cars over the years.
My Latemodel Mod n a lot of other race cars I built n drove.
I still get a big rush, driving my old hotrod.

A video my Buddy did for me a few years back.

We built a 98 point Hershey 32 5 window for a customer in 90's. Of course we took it apart , chopped the top etc etc. He supplied a Dove 427 side oiler & 2x4 intake with 4776 Holleys , & a HD top loader. We over did the frame for the torque. It would spin the tires at 65 mph in high gear. On delivery day I ask him to drive it (of course) in our industrial area (Sat), he passed, so, I took him for a short couple bursts of 1000 feet. This was a widow maker for sure. We got back to the shop where the customer had to dry out his underware, fastest 32 I ever drove. He came back for a bad (pos) throwout bearing a year later with only 2 (two) miles on the car. Still scared I guess.

I've often said, if it doesn't scare you just a little...........it needs more motor.

Hey Fontana, sometimes O.T.T. is not wild and wooly, but simply over the top.... Gotta love a Crosley !!

I am hoping that my over the top car is in the near future, I have been gathering goodies for awhile now and I still have a few options.

But back in the late 80s I built a second generation Nova, 396-muncie-4.10s. Certainly wasn't the quickest around but it sure was fun!

Being a mild Kustom guy, this is my most radical that I’ve become the caretaker of. It’s over the top for me. I don’t like wind noise and for any chopped car to be very tight, takes craftsmanship and planning. My avatar is all that, other wise I wouldn’t have bought it. All credit to Bill and Art.

over the top that i sold in 1974 was my rough 56 vette with a 301 sbc and t-10. headers and somewhat quiet turbo mufflers. had $900 invested in it. really fun to cruise in. no radio... no top either.

It would have to be the 57 Chevy Panel I had in Texas with the built 327 in it. Panel was an old laundry/dry cleaners delivery truck complete with the racks to hang clothes to deliver in it when I bought it with a 327 that had 12.5 Jahns pistons, Engle solid lifter cam of unknown specs, 202 heads, 2x4 Corvette intake and a few tricks that I never figured out. The thing would pull the front wheels on a hard launch and run with a 750 Honda in a city block street race. It got about 4 mpg on the highway.
How I never got a ticket in that thing is well beyond me. Pure 100% HAMB friendly looking back at it now too.

Wasn't over the top power like some pictured here. Very early 60's, 53 Ford, flattie, fenderwell headers, jacked up, Rambler front wheels, welded spiders, tach up on the dash, 5.14 gears and drove it the 90 mi one way to the drags many times
