Cool video of a an old rebuilt banger flathead called a Moskvitch engine. Great views of the firing and flow processes. Fast forward until it warps and stops.
Buick built some cylinder heads with glass windows when they were developing the 'Turbulator" (SP?) pistons around 1934 - 1935 ...
Back about 1965 my Dad pulled the passenger side head off our 1937 Ford ton and a half truck. While that head was off he started the engine! Totally amazed me , how the pistons move unbelievable fast! He reved it up , a little and the pistons seemed to be at the top and the bottom of the cylinder at the same time! That was fifty plus years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday! I still have that truck! Bones
At the trade school I went to we had a glass 1 cylinder engine the cylinder , piston , head where made of glass do you could watch the entire process unfold Soo dang cool
