  3. Thats cool, very robust but with very little driver protection though. Don't see many with rear suspension, mine won't.
Any progress on your Tank? JW

I can imagine a mono leaf rear suspension causing havoc at high speed.
No, mine is hanging in the rafters while my coupe is in the works. Working to get my flathead running at the moment. I’d like to get my hands on a v8 60 for the tank.

Did a bit more bending on the tube frame. Some small adjustments then the other side. JW

  7. Next will be to determine exactly where the rear axle will be and work out the mounting, that's why the bottom rail stopped where it has. Will start to make templates for the lateral lower hoops and also determine the seats position, i:e rake and height
Since i am back on this i will start a build thread for it this week.:cool::) JW

Looking good! Guess the shift linkage will add some time to the project. Bob

Congrats on the progress! it’s really coming along. I’ve been keeping an eye on your build thread. Great work.

  17. The linkage ''should'' be rather straight forward as i have had it designed in my head for a while now. It will be similar in principle to one Truckedup did (see pic) on a Tank he built some time back. JW

Cage looks great! Did you keep track of the hours it took to bend all the tube?

  23. Thanks, Bob and not really. All the larger radius bends took over an hour a piece. JW

Why did you need to rework it? I thought it looked great. Something with the rules?

  26. Way too much clearance and it was going to make the cockpit cover very bulbus and fugly. JW

    Fugly is reason enough :)
It’s not just how fast you go, but also how cool you look doing it!
