Body, paint, interior are done. Pilot is two years old, (Our Granddaughter) is negotiating the Apex. Go in low then stand on it! Grand Pap is in Hog Heaven. Roll on Georgia Bulldog’s.
That is beautiful. I assume that Q/M stands for Quarter Midget? Not being familiar with speedway stuff what engines did they run and I assume they only had handbrake. Did they run a dog clutch or no clutch at all?
A number of different engines. Continental, Briggs-Stratton, Clinton, etc. 3.5 H.P. Handbrake only with a centrifical clutch. Late 50’s and early 60’s competed on a scaled down dirt or asphalt track. Quarter scale of the Midget tracks. Has a scaled down footprint fuel pedal made out of cast aluminum, with the Wahlborg W cast into it. Pretty cool for the kids of the day. I saw my first one in 58-59 and never forgot how neat they were. Tucked this one away for my Granddaughter, some 30 years ago. Took about 18 months part time to get it this far. 25N is Reese’s birthdate.
