    Hi,
I'm trying to build a model of a 1950's style flathead powered dragster with a S.C.O.T. blower with dual carbs but I'm having trouble finding good information on how such an engine would be set up. Is there anyone here that could answer a few questions, or could anyone direct me to another more appropriate forum? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Ignition - have seen photos with magnetos so would use one. Distant memory says mags are self-contained so no other wiring except to plugs.
Fuel system - assuming the stock fuel pump wouldn't cut it. For a rail dragster, would the moon tank be pressurized or would an auxiliary pump be used?
Cooling - Apparently for drag rails, the water hoses are just blocked off. Common arrangement looks like short section of hose then a plug at all 4 locations.
Driveline - manual transmission or in/out box more typical?
Premise is a low-buck rail put together by a couple of friends or a small rod club in the '50's.
I've been building models since the middle '50's and have reached the point where I try to do a good bit of research to be accurate as I can.
