My coupe is 6 years older than me and my pickup is 5 older than me. The 50's and 60's cars I owned were DD transportation. I only kept one OT and it's 24 years younger than me.

My current daily is OT but as a 1971, it is still considerably older than me. My on topic project… I’m 26, nowhere close haha.

I'm only older than my OT '69 Suburban. Both my other two cars are late 30's, so I'm younger than both of them.

    Hello,

Back in our first car days, mine was a 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery, purchased in 1960. I was 16 at the time. So a 20 year old car for a 16 year old driver seemed good at the time. It certainly was a good time to be a teenager and have the first car for our adventures.

My brother was 17 in 1958 when he purchased his 58 Impala. But, in 1956, when he bought his 1951 Oldsmobile two door sedan, he was 15 and the car was 5 years old.

The odd ball time factor would have been in 1962, when I was the owner of the 58 Impala and it was 4 years old. At the time, I was 18. Give one to the teenager!

The only longer contrast was when we both bought the 1930 Model A coupe in 1957. He was 16 and the Model A coupe was 27 years old if that makes a difference.

These days, if my wife and I bought a 1940 Ford Sedan the difference would be 82 years apart to 2022, with us still in our late 70s. YRMV

My most recent "ride" according to it's title will turn 100 years old next year, I'm not quite that old, but I am one year older than it's current engine.
