I kind of want one too because of their speed. Had a Cherokee 235 that I called flying pickup truck because of its useful load, weight and balance was if we could get door shut it was ready to fly.
Buddy of mine had a Mooney B; fast, but mainly because it's frontal area was 1/2 that of a 172 with the same engine along with a much better prop and retractable gear. I always felt cramped in it but handled well.
