Sort of, 3mm is kind of thin, 6.43mm is USA equivalent .250", But your chassis is stiff enough that the 3mm would work (still have to adj the turbine spacing) Contour the plate to act as the bulkhead and mount the body to

IMG_20190210_205434.jpg tested som new axle tonight, need New brackets, narrowing, aftermarket pumpkin.
IMG_20190210_210319.jpg just gonna lower the axle a bit, and weld some tubes front of axle to bolt it in.

Now the brackets fits the housing, now for some measure and spotweld those brackets, and next step is to have it narrowed. The guy who do that, is welding the brackets at same time, in his jig, so its straight when its done. IMG_20190215_061324.jpg

Would it be better to mount the rear end with double shear brackets?

NHRA/SFI spec's call for either double 1/8" plates sandwiching the 1/4" rear end plate or a single 3/16" 100_2825.JPG

Do you have some more info on Bobby Tapia dragster? I have found couple of old vids, and only one picture of that dragster, where can I find more?

There have been som dust on my build, I have focused on some New licens to drive truck/rig with trailer.
Hopefully there will be some progress now :)
