This is my 2nd post, still amazed that the 1st post didn't turn into a full fledged Zucking. I rarely stick up my head anymore, nor visit the planet that often.

This car was raced for years on the East coast dirt tracks by an interesting group, including the likes of Pappy Hough. Among the places it ran was right on a coastal horse track turned dirt racing track turned into millionaire row in Maine. This car raced all over the place. The original car was left to find its own way and it did, behind a wood pile in Connecticut. It was all there and brought back by careful hands and endless spare parts. By the 90's the shine had gone to a shrine, mostly as a reminder of the folks that worked on it and didn't wrap it around a tree. After all, few know what it took to pump gas and brake with your left hand and shift and steer with your right, all at 100 mph. Rear brakes only, alcohol fueled, when it was clear the kids wanted to drive it, it was time. anything other than this set up.

Seriously there's a large history base of these in a number of threads...A search will connect to many...

Theres also a monthly Banger Thread where pushing the 4 Cylinder limit is ongoing with the bar set high...

That looks like a real kick to drive on a dirt track.

  10. That’s one beautiful car!
Riley, Winfield’s, front drive oil pump, belt drive water pump!
    Everything is perfect.
I have all the parts to build one like it, except the energy.
    Thanks for the inspiration.
