Received this in a recent parts lot. Guy said they were for a 32 Ford, but I don’t think so.

Am I wrong, What are they?

These look like clutch release bars from old lawnmowers. The pushmower at my shop has a nearly identical one to the one at the bottom, you let it go to kill the engine or engage the blade spinning, depending on design.

  10. If you put them on your '32, you'll be the only guy to have them.

This is a good guess. If they are car parts, they are likely the release handles for bucket seat sliders.
Unless he can prove they're off of an old Maserati or something, they'll make good towel holders for the shop sink or racks for clamps.

Looks to me like they were made to have a bolt thru the flat spot, and fold out like portable table

These pictures are shit, I know, but...

Notice the 16" width? Notice the little flat spot with a hole in it where the pull cable goes? Notice the ends both have a wear pattern about an inch wide, where they would slip into the tubing to form a pivot point?

These are lawnmower parts, I'm pretty damned sure.

I want to see them bolted together. like maybe a tray to set over your legs while in bed, like old hospital shit that was often chrome, or stainless

Not knowing how big they are they look like the bail that holds the top on some Lucas voltage regulators. Or maybe a bail for the top of some other electrical device.

so - there you have it - ‘32 ford lawnmower parts…..
it’s all starting to get a little overwhelming, - it was only last week that I learned that Henry made aeroplanes, and now lawnmowers as well…………:)
