Technical 70's Plastic/Rubber Steering Wheel Collects Crud Like Magnet

    Wash it with hand cleaner as suggested, then spray it down with 303 protectant. It's good for plastic jeep windows and tires.
    Works good on flake wheels and black plast shifters and stuff too.

    70's Olds sport wheels are terrible for doing this. I had a extra wheel that I mounted on the wall in my shop. After 10 years or so it looked like a sticky bug trap- you know those tapes people used? All covered in dead bugs. I also have one on my car. It used to get all sticky after sitting a while. I would clean it with 409 or similar and then wipe it with armor all. Came out nice, but then would get sticky again. Then I started cleaning it with brake clean and no armor all- much better, It doesn't get sticky immediately like it used to. But I'm not recommending using brake clean on your wheel cuz it's pretty harsh but it works good for mine...
