  4. I've had this set of Brookvilles for over 10 years. The front of them where they end at the frame horns aren't very good either and aren't reproduced very well. I hope they are making them better now. I'm trying to decide whether to cut and fill the gap shown or cut where they bolt to the running board in order to pull them into the frame rail and then reweld.

Dang . . . One of these things would make a great family hot rod.

  7. Since I'm a new owner of a '32 Fordor body I thought I would bump this old thread.
Anyone have anything new to add?

    Here's mine

  8. Does that mean you are starting with a bare body? What are your plans and how about some pictures? I have a very early 4 cylinder deluxe fordor. It is a very complete barn find but needs a lot of work.

  9. Charlie, I added some pics. It'll have a 59A and '39 trans.

Long ways to go and the wheels are just rollers. I picked up the body in MI in 2019, should be on the street this summer.

@E.C. - that has a nice profile to it. How much did you, or previous owner take out of it ?
Looks about 2&1/2” - maybe 3” , but just right.
Do you have a build thread on it ?

Picked this one up out of up state New York. Surprisingly really original and very solid. Standard model 18 with LB motor, has original trans to the car, vin on trans matches vin on the frame.

Interesting that they almost all end up being black over the years but makes sence seeing them

    I have a theory on that…..
Being black the B pillar tends to get lost in the darkness and the car looks more like a Tudor, trying it’s best to fit in as a hot rod when we know that they are only family cars…….
I have been looking for years at what would be the best colour for mine, ( hence the reason I keep bumping this thread ), and gloss black still seems the best colour.

Really nice fordor that you have there.

  25. I started seeing this 4 door in the mid 70's and it hasn't changed one bit, it's a color that really does the car justice in my opinion. HRP

So here is my more-door. Just got it yesterday and have some things to do. Paint is supposed to be that way.
I need help with shocks though, it has a Posey's chassis and I don't think the shocks are strong enough rebound wise.
Have to put in a steering dampener, surprised it wasn't on it.
And the hood needs adjusting which I can see will be a pain in the keester. :)
