History Comp Coupes, All but forgotten?

Did that one back in 1980. Ford Model A Four Door Sedan 1930. Took the front section out, made back doors fit to A pillar. Still had suicide doors that way.

Just took my 11 year old great nephew to his first drag race. Competition coupes are still around

 

Randy Winkle over in Bakersfield is making a fiberglass body for comp coupe's now.

 

This is my favorite style
Of car. I love the open minded, try it out feel of these things.

sure man it’s a 1958 chassis research style te448 that I built about 10 years ago it has a 1958 392 hemi with a 6-71 blower 4 port Hilborn on alky it is a clutch car has a 1958 Ford truck 3-speed top loader trans connected to a 8 3/4 Chrysler rear axle I wanted the car to be like 1959 it’s fun to drive I really haven’t driven it for a few years been busy with other projects but always wanted a comp coupe so I decided to put this body together which was a bunch of left overs from another project and here we are
