Ordered a 20 gallon parts washer from NAPA monday with free shipping [too far away for free delivery] and received it tuesday. Cheaper than Amazon!. Spent a little more than a HF one but looking for a little better quality.

    Hello,

My wife has always liked a 1950’s Buick Skylark convertible. Back in the pre-teen days, our mom wanted her own car. She wanted a convertible and my dad made the mistake of taking the whole family to see new cars. Instantly, she wanted a red Buick Skylark convertible. My dad spent the next 30 minutes explaining why convertibles are not safe and secure. We visited several other make dealers but, she still liked the Buick Skylark.

My brother and I were young, but liked the wire wheels on the convertible. So, jump up several years after high school and I had saved enough money get the conversion and outright purchase of 5 Buick Skylark wire wheels. After the conversion was complete, the Buick Skylark wire wheels made the Impala look fantastic. There was now a ton of “go” that matched the custom car look.

My 1/64 collection had a silver 58 Impala I got one Christmas morning. So, now I had the base model to fix up to match my real life 58 Impala with Buick Skylark wire wheels from the 1963 styling.

So, now I had some 1/64 wire wheels to put on my modified 58 Impala that I will eventually paint black and modify the interior to get the red insert panels on the seating.

But, this year, one last look inside a tall colorful bag with tissue paper had another 58 black Impala (hidden), ready for the red interior and Skylark Wire Wheels.

Beside a nice sounding subwoofer, I also got these little drill bits for my Dremel and an intricate hand held drill holder. It came with several mini drill tips and just in case, I also got another set for back up.

Just incase of overzealous drilling, a back up case and drill bits should be enough to finish any projects in the garage.

Christmas was nice with the visits of our son and granddaughter. As we all have heard, a “family bond is forever”… and keeps the memories flowing through sight, as well as funny stories. (But, even at this old age, we can't discount getting all of the presents, including a cool HAMB sweatshirt)

Christmas came again today. My wife ordered this for me early Dec. from the good folks at Hotrodworks, and they were on back order. They said they were expecting more yokes by months end. Sure enough, it showed up today quicker than I expected. 476A88ED-FA63-4A5D-A019-D250562A48C7.jpeg
