Great work! I haven’t seen any of your updates in the last year apparently! Do you have a source for that neat little heater?

Hi Anders! I just wanted to say hi. I have been rereading parts of your build thread and I am still amazed at some of the engineering problems that you solved.
    Take care my friend.

Its been a while since the last update.
I sort out the windshield hinge and it fit nice now.
I cut it and welded a flat pice to the hinge that fit to my new header.
It was a nightmare to weld and there was a big amount of work to straighten it afterwards.

To get it streetlegal i need wipers.
2 speeds and automatic park. It allso need to clean 70% of the windshield.
I bought a universal wiper kit with a remote wipermotor that drive the wipers with wires in pipes.
I was worried about if it would fit becouse the pipes should not be bend tighter than 3 inch radius.
But if i used the hollow in the post and the height of the header it actually fit rather nice.
My fire extinguisher had the right radius and i could use the wallhanger to hold the pipe when i bend it.
I allso made a coupling in my lathe to join the pipes so i could do them in 2 pices.
That way i can remowe the pipes if i want.
I allso bend the wiperarms so i dont have the wiper hangin down on the windshield when they are in parkposition.

    Quality work!
You would be done already if it was not for all the inspection requirements.
Just for grins, I only have to have what came on the car in 1927. Wich is nothing By modern standards.

    Thanks all.

    Thats problaby true.
In Sweden it depends what you start with whats required.
How much you modify, paperwork or not and some other things.
But my build is way beyond what i can registry as a modifyed model T 1927.
My main problem is that i build a hotrod that can match my 53 Dodge.
And the requirement is to match a new Toyota Prius.
There are some semilegal and ilegal way around it but i want to use my car with minimal problem from the cops.

  10. I just found this thread as a result of your comments on my 53 COOP build thread. I am very impressed, especially seeing the Hemi sitting in the chassis!

I guess we are very fortunate in the USA that most states are very liberal on what can be modified on an older car. In Maryland, there are no inspections required for a Street Rod or Historic license registrations.

Keep up the good innovative work,

    Here's my 26 COOP:

  11. Before I chopped 26 COOP, I had a paper on the trunk at Jalopyrama asking for opinions as to whether or not i should chop it. I got 60 responses. 36 said no and 2 of those said HELL no!. So when it came down to the decision, I chopped it 1-inch. ;););)
Actually, I chopped it so I could gain 2" at the bottom of the rear quarter windows to install power window motors, so I can look cool going down the road with my arm hanging out the rear window! o_Oo_O
But Anders will not be able to wear the top hat in his T!

I remember your build and followed it here.

I had a leftower Hemi i needed to do something with.
So that was the startingpoint of my build.

I have 3-4 inch air above my head with this chop.
Not enough for a top hat but good enough for me.
But my windshield is just chopped 2. The rest is in the lower header.

I dont care that much if they are chopped or not.
Built right they look great anyway.
Buzz bomb that is my main inspiration was chopped and thats why i did it on mine.

Not much of a update since the last one.
My intend was to finnish the defrosters after the wipers.
But as everting else on this car the dash didnt fit very well.
So i decided to do all the mods thats needed first.
The biggest one was to fit the speedo.
But when i was working on the dash it come to my mind that i need to make the steeringcolumn first.
So still no defroster yet but the dash start to look good.

At last i have a few things done on my build.
Last update was in early march last year.
The progress have been close to nothing since then.
But i have now cap the bottom of the dash where i modify it.
I allso have adjust all the mountingholes on the dash so it fit properly to the car.
Then i could do the defrosters. Started with to cut up the dash where i wanted the vents.
Then made the vents from the channel i made under the dash.
Then a quick test with a battery to see if it works. It seems to work fine so i can move on.
Then i made some covers to hide the vents.

Is that where you plan on keeping the battery?

  18. Looks good Bud, you have had a lot to deal with so any progress you have made are large steps. You will be having a test drive before long.....keep at it. Happy New Year.:D JW

No. It will be beside the tank in the trunk.

There was some other things i had to take care of around here.
But nothing that should take this long.
This autumn i just havent kick my self in the butt and go out to the garage.

Getting out there is the hard part- once you’re there it’s pretty easy to spend anywhere from 10mins to a few hours- it all adds up.

There was still some things to do with the dash.
First was to make some posts for the speedo.
A quick and easy job. Just 3 screws where i could fasten my speedo.
Well it turned out not to go that easy. One of them touch the downpipe for the floorheat.
Becouse of that i cant get the dash fully in place.
I will see whats best. Cut the screw or redo the pipe.

Next was to deside the layout of all the switches and other things.
It was clear that all would not fit on the dash becouse the lack of space behind.
But blink indikators, dashlight, starterswitch and heatcontroller would fit.
Some holes later they was in place.

The rest would be on a panel below the dash. To give it some shape i bend a frame for it.

This is how it looks when its all together.

Next up was to make a nice end on the steeringcolumn.
Wanted it to fit nice to the steeringwheel and support blinkers and horn.
This is what i come up with.

Used a stickwelder with high amps to cut out the inner pipe.
