Happy New Year to all you banger guys - Hope all your banger plans work out.

Recently the jets in the strombie 97 on my winfield headed B motor in my coupe went from 45's to 43's. The motor is a little down, 0.040" up with a small score in #2 bore. Anyhow is leaves a nice black exhaust residue on the rear bumper. The valve lash has been corrected.

A friend suggested I run hotter plugs to try to burn any residual oil and hopefully minimise the amount of exhaust residue. I run a stock B dizzy, and NGK AB-6 plugs. The next hotter plug available out here are NGK AB-2, which is a big jump.

I bought some 14mm adapters for it.

So my question is - does anyone have first hand experience as to what plug I should run in these adapters - the parts suppliers have no plug details on their websites, given I want tot try a slightly hotter plug than the NGK AB-6's

Thanks in advance to all you guys - you're all a wealth on knowledge and these banger threads make for compulsory reading each time I log onto the HAMB.

If you bought 14mm plug adapters, the world is wide open. the next hotter plug is a NGK with a 5 in the heat range. I guess the next question is how deep are those adapter to get the right plug reach? My guess is 3/4", So maybe something like BR5ES.

So the oil filler tube wasn't tightened at the bottom, thats why it was leaking a lot... Now it just leaks a good amount, but I'd like it to be less... But, run em, wreck em, never check em so I've been driving it.

Also, got new shoes on it as well... super bright yellow kelseys that I thought I got too bright at first, but now I'm kinda diggin the look. Might be a little too low in the front cause I get the tires to rub on a tight turn, unlike on the chrome reverse wheels I had on it.

Anyway Happy New Years banger dudes!

Looks good. Tire rub could be a different offset on the wheel or tire size variation. I like it though with the wires. The color can vary alot on screen. It is bright for sure, but my blue wheels seem to stick out alot too. It's just a clash of two wildly different colors.

The wires rub quite a bit in the front. I think theyre equivalent to a 550 bias ply (but Im running radials). I have a 4" drop axle and reverse eye posies spring up front. Also don't have front shocks yet. I need a torch to bend up some f1 shock brackets.

I love your T roadster! I really wanna build a 23-25 full fendered roadster in the future.

Turns out the spark plug adapters I bought (commonly listed on part supplier's websites) are 22mm, and the Winfield head has 18mm plugs ..... oh well, back to the drawing board.

  17. Double check, I have one here with 16mm plugs

When you figure out if you have 18mm or 16mm threads (you can get 18mm to 14mm adapters online), then you can go to here and search a plug :

I know international shipping charges are hard to justify at times... it would be real easy to make those 22mm threads into 18mm.

somebody will most likely scold me, but my search-foo must be turned off because i couldn't find the 'blown banger' thread . . .
but could anyone share some information on this car, and specifically the blower set-up?

the video was supposed to start @ 1: 43 minutes!

    thanks

no; but that's a good reference, too.

the car in question says "we do it" on the side but that's all i can make out.

if i were more technical savvy, i could post a screen shot.

That Supercharged dirt car used to be mine. The white twin cammed hill climber at 2:08 was mine also. There is information on both cars on my web site. Cass_Casmir (buymegivemetakeme.com) Just select the links to "The late 1920's Fronty Ford" and the link to "1927 Gemsa T powered hill climb car"
